Stock Gun Photo - iStock_000018625930XSmallAccording to ABC15, a 19 year old man was shot and killed as he tried to burglarize an occupied home in Yuma, AZ.

The owner of the home heard noises around 1:30am which he believed to be an intruder inside of his home. He armed himself with a firearm and went to investigate.

The homeowner did find an intruder inside of the home, and during a confrontation with the intruder, fired a single shot.

The intruder was hit once, and was found dead by police when they arrived.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the homeowner or the suspect.
