In this case, a Memphis, TN homeowner was forced to defend himself and his home from a burglar who attempted a break-in during broad daylight.
The incident happened in the middle of the day.
A homeowner near Memphis, TN caught an intruder attempting to enter his home through his bedroom window.
The homeowner armed himself and opened fire on the suspect, striking him once.
After the suspect was shot, he tried to flee the scene, but the homeowner was able to cut him off and hold him at gunpoint in the backyard.
The suspect is being treated for non life threatening injuries at an area hospital and is in stable condition according to WREG.
Police often wait until injured criminals are released from the hospital before formally filing charges which is likely why no charges have yet been filed in the case.
