Anti-gun (and really anti self defense) advocates like to say that it’s impossible to draw a firearm and use it for self defense when someone is already pointing a gun at you.
The owner of a mattress store in Charlotte, NC proved that is simply incorrect when he turned the tables on two armed robbers, one of whom was pointing a gun at the owner’s face.
According to The Charlotte Observer,
WSOC-TV (Channel 9) interviewed the store owner’s wife, who gave this version of events:
She said her husband was inside the store when the attempted robbery happened. A man put a gun in her husband’s face, demanded his cellphone and any money in the store, and threatened to kill him if he did not comply.
Then, the woman said, her husband turned around, pretending to get money, but instead pulled out a gun and shot one of the suspects. The suspect fired back but didn’t hit him, she said.
Police have not yet filed any charges or released the names of the men involved. But the shooter is cooperating with investigators, police said.
Just another self defense myth being debunked by law abiding gun owners.
The suspect who was shot is being treated at an area hospital and will likely face criminal charges once he is released. It is unclear if the second suspect was also captured or if he remains at large.
