Shop Owner Shoots 1 Burglary Suspect and Slaps Another in the Face

The owner of an auto-mechanics shop in Birmingham, Alabama opened fire on a pair of late night intruders earlier this week.
Two men scaled a fence surrounding the lot, most likely looking for items to steal.
The owner of the property was spending the night inside of the shop due to ongoing burglaries and thefts at the property.
The owner opened fire on the pair of intruders, striking one. The owner then slapped the second suspect in the face and told him to get off of his property according to AL.com.
Both suspects fled the scene. The suspect who was shot showed up at an area hospital suffering from a life threatening gunshot wound.
None of the identities of the involved parties have been released yet and police have not made any arrests in the case. One suspect remains at large.
