OK, we’re cleaning house and trying to get caught up on the defensive gun uses for the last week or two that we’ve got sitting in queue to be added to the database, so here is a handful of the current defensive gun uses from recent weeks.

For many defensive gun use stories there is simply not enough information to write a full article, or we get backlogged due to a high number of stories, so we occasionally publish a defensive gun use round-up to cover the stories from the last several days that fall into these categories.

We feel it is still important to document these stories in order to keep the total count of documented defensive gun uses more accurate.

It should also be noted that we feel that the defensive gun uses we document here are most likely a small percentage of the overall number of defensive gun uses that take place. Most defensive gun uses involve no shots fired and many are likely not even reported to law enforcement.

Any defensive gun uses documented here are still included in our overall count (see upper left of the page, below the logo and menu) and we still tag this post so they can be sorted by their statistics.
