A homeowner in Bend, OR awoke to someone trying to break into his home through a window, which had been broken.

The homeowner armed himself and fired a single shot at the would be intruder, which missed.

The suspect fled into nearby woods.

When police arrived on scene they used a police K9 to track the suspect down.

The suspect fought with an officer before being taken into custody.

Police say the suspect might have been on drugs.
