A Cleveland, OH man is lucky to be alive after a confrontation with two violent home invasion suspects.

The homeowner was returning home at around 2:30am when he was confronted by 2 armed suspects in his driveway.

The men forced the homeowner into the home where they mercilessly beat and pistol whipped the homeowner.

Fortunately, the homeowner was able to grab his personal weapon at some point during the altercation.

He opened fire on the suspects. Both were hit. One of the suspects died at the scene, and the second, wounded suspect was caught by police nearby.

According to WKYC, the homeowner had a carry permit, although that doesn’t really play a factor in defending one’s self in one’s own home.

The identities of the victim and suspects has not yet been released nor have the list of charges against the living suspect.

This is the 59th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of Ohio and the 1029th defensive gun use we’ve documented overall.
