A Fenton, MO homeowner awoke around 2am to find an armed burglar in his home. The homeowner, who was also armed, fired 2 shots at the intruder, striking him once in the leg. At this point the intruder fled and turned up shortly thereafter at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. Police have arrested and charged the man, Richard Bates (pictured), with burglary and two gun related crimes.
