Two armed men broke into the home a MO woman during the day. The men, who were both armed with firearms, forced their way into the home during the middle of the day. They were confronted by the homeowner who was armed herself. The woman fired at the men, hitting one. The intruders then fled the home and the one was shot collapsed on the sidewalk and was later pronounced dead. The second suspect escaped and is being sought by police. Police say the homeowner acted in self defense, but as with all homicides, the case will be turned over to the district attorney for review.
