Concealed Carrying Limo Driver Fights Off Armed Robbers Trying to Shoot Passengers

According to the Tampa Tribune, a limo driver, who was driving a group of young people in a party limo had to use deadly force to defend himself and his passengers.

Two cars pulled up along side the limo, in an apparent attempt to slow down, or corral the limo. The passengers in one of the cars then opened fire on the limos occupants.

The driver, a concealed carry permit holder, drew his own weapon and returned fire.

The driver drove on and tried to call police. Fortunately he came upon police in the middle of another investigation nearby and told them what happened.

Police returned to the scene of the shooting and found a stolen car involved in the incident. Inside, they found one of the gunman, suffering from a sever gunshot wound.

The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he is in serious condition.

Two passengers in the limo were also shot and sustained minor injuries.

A third person with the party, in another car behind the limo was also shot and sustained minor injuries.

Police say charges are pending against the suspect.
