According to WHIOTV.com, a caretaker was staying in the basement of the Santa Clara Apostolic Temple in Dayton, OH because of concerns over recent break ins. When the caretaker heard a window breaking, he was ready.

The caretaker was armed with a shotgun and fired a single shot at the alleged burglar as he entered the church. The suspect was struck once in the stomach and is being treated at an area hospital for a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.
