Donald Collins attempted to rob a 75 year old owner of a check cashing business as the owner was preparing to open. The would be robber tried to rush in through an employee entrance while the owner was letting in an employee. The shop owner then confronted the armed robber. Collins pointed a gun at the shop owner. That’s when the owner fired 3 shots from his own gun, striking the suspect twice. Collins is under police guard and is in critical condition in the hospital.

Collins is a career criminal and he is believed to be the suspect in another recent armed robbery in the area.
