Here we go again.

The story we reported earlier this week, in which a concealed carrying private citizen shot and killed two armed robbers with two shots has taken a typical turn.

The concealed carrying citizen, who is being hailed as a hero by local residents and politicians now faces accusations by the suspect’s families that he “took the law into his own hands.”

Of course, the families are describing the suspects as “hard working family men” who weren’t hardened criminals.

According to WFMZ,

“It’s not fair,” said Virginia Medina, mother of 24-year-old William Medina, who police said robbed Krick’s Korner store alongside 18-year-old Robert De Carr on Monday.

“[William] had no right to lose his life over something that man could have called the police for,” said Medina. “He took the law into his own hands and walked away scot-free.”

“How about if people just start running around here, policing the city on their own? How much worse is it going to get?” said Peter Ratel, Medina’s cousin.

Police are not releasing the name of the citizen who shot the two suspects and are calling the incident a case of self defense.
