It looks like even the ATF is in press release mode as the 2015 SHOT Show gets underway.

The agency sent out an email this morning to all registered eForms users which included a new guide to using the system entitled “eForms 101”.

The new guide does look to be fairly helpful for new users, however this info is also available from numerous other third party sources online.

The ATF also released some new numbers on their processing times and processing volume. It certainly looks like the eForms system is definitely cutting down the processing time for a Form 1 (used to make short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, silencers, etc).

Sadly, Form 4’s are still down and according to the ATF’s latest information those forms look like they are being completely redesigned, which means we probably won’t see those for a while.
