stock_holsterSome anti-gun politicians are seriously over the top with their irrational fear of guns. Apparently, so much so, that they can’t be in the same building with armed individuals, even when those individuals are county sheriffs.

According to KTUL, nearly 40 sheriffs walked out of the state capitol after being asked to disarm because an unnamed state senator was uncomfortable with them being armed,

“One of the senators, who they wouldn’t tell us, complained because we were armed in the building,” Wagoner county sheriff Bob Colbert said.

“So we all packed up and left,” he said.

“We’re the people that protect these people,” he said.

“If the state troopers are satisfied that we’re ok in that building I’m pretty sure that the legislators should have something else to worry about such as the economy or something,” he said.

Just another example of the completely irrational fear of guns far too many people in government have. Also, real brave of the anti-gun politician to send a messenger and remain anonymous.

According to reports, some lawmakers have apologized to the sheriffs, but this is a situation that shouldn’t have ever happened in the first place.
