In his most recent NRA commentator video, Colion Noir tackles the issue of the guns and cars analogy.

Cars (actually the people driving them) do kill far more people than guns (the people using them) do by the way, but inevitably, an anti-gunner will bring up the point that “well, guns were designed for killing”.

Of course, since guns were designed for killing then they must be inherently evil, right?

Knives were originally designed to be both a weapon and a tool, but you don’t hear anyone saying that you can’t cut your steak with a knife because it can also be used to kill.

Likewise, it seems that things like cars, tobacco, and alcohol get a free pass because they weren’t “designed” to kill, despite the fact that all of those things each kill far more people than guns do each year in the United States.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we need to further regulate those things (don’t get any ideas antis), but it is certainly an interesting argument.

We won’t even get into the fact that there are numerous guns that are designed specifically for competition and target shooting.

Once again, Colion makes some good points in a short amount of time in a well produced video. Well done sir.
