This week we have another example of a comedian using the power of their personality to push a political agenda while hiding behind their comedian status to allow them to say, “Come on guys, it’s just a joke.”

Sarah Silverman this week released a video on the website Funny or Die which mocked the NRA and was actually pretty racist.

Let’s take a look at that really quickly.

Well, no one is really laughing.

Those of us in the gun community obviously take offense at the insinuation that we don’t want everyone, including young black males to be armed if they so choose.

Nothing could be further from the truth. I want any and every law abiding American who wants to be armed to have the ability to be armed.

The black gun owning community also spoke out on the issue.

Most notable, NRA commentator Colion Noir and PJTV’s AlfonZo Rachel (along with his band 20 lb Sledge) both made response videos condemning the Funny or Die video.

Conservative radio host Carl Jackson also issued a response to the video
