Anti-Gunners Freak Out Over Youth Softball Team Raffling Off a Taurus Judge
Time for the anti-gunners to freak out again. A youth softball team in Georgia is riling up the anti-gun crowd with the prize for their latest raffle – a Taurus Judge revolver.
The travel softball team says they are raffling off the price because gun raffles ususally get more participants and sell more tickets than traditional items such as televisions or electronics.
According to The Atlanta Journal of Constitution,
Amanda Allred didn’t see a problem as long as the weapon didn’t end up in the wrong hands.
“I think it’s perfectly fine. It’s raising money for a good cause,” she said.
“I just don’t think it should be based around any type of weapons or anything that can cause harm especially when you’re dealing with children,” [Diana Smith] said.
“When we offer a gun, we’re offering something that people want to participate in,” said April Harrison. “Some people may not want a TV.”
Of course, the winner will have to get their gun from a licensed gun dealer and pass a background check before taking possession of their prize.
One person who commented to local media pretty much has it right: “People have a problem with just about anything nowadays,” said Kristin Hyers.
