In an odd story out of FL three teens are suspended and a fourth is being held at a juvenile detention center.

It was a normal after school bus ride until 2 football teammates got into a fight during the ride.

One of the students, who is said to be 15 years old, pulled out a .22 caliber handgun and pointed it at the other student he was arguing with. Both students were members of the school’s football team.

That’s when three nearby students acted. They tackled the gunman and wrestled the gun away. The teens were believed to have saved lives on that bus ride, however all three were slapped with a three day suspension the following day for being involved in an incident involving a weapon. (Source)

The gunman is facing charges and is currently in a juvenile detention facility.

“We cannot discuss specifics involving students,” said district spokesman Alberto Rodriguez in a statement. “Florida law allows the principal to suspend a student immediately pending a hearing.”
