We’re just taking a wild guess here, but we’re going to assume that a large portion of our audience has seen or is aware of the cult classic Red Dawn.

The original movie pits young guerrilla American fighters against an invading force of Soviets.

MGM decided to remake a modern version in 2009 and shot the new adaptation in Michigan. The invading force in the new installment was originally the Chinese, however MGM was afraid this might offend their Chinese investors and their Chinese audience.

Changing the movie as not to offend a communist government sort of goes against the original movie in our opinion.
