House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi (D, CA) isn’t taking her efforts to see more gun control laws passed lying down.

After gun control was dealt a serious blow in the Senate last week, Pelosi vowed to ramp up efforts to get an expanded background check bill passed in the House.

Legislation similar to the Senate’s Manchin-Toomey legislation was introduced in the House of Representatives last week.

From the Daily Caller,

“This is a fight we must win. It’s a matter of time,” she said. “It may be inconceivable to the NRA that this will happen, it’s inevitable to us. We have to shorten the distance and time between the inconceivable to some and the inevitable.”

Due to the GOP control of the House, it is likely this measure won’t even make it to a vote.

However, the stance taken by Democratic lawmakers should point to the fact that the anti gun politicians are not going to quit.

I’ll go ahead and say it right now, in April of 2013, the 2014 midterm elections WILL BE the most important elections in the history of gun rights. I’ll have more on this soon, but be aware, that the anti gunners are still working hard to infringe on your rights and only by remaining vigilant can we prevent that from happening.
