Ohio Sheriff “Worried” About Increasing Number of CCW Permits

Summit County Sheriff Drew Alexander said he’s concerned about a surge in the number of residents applying for a carrying concealed weapon permit.
“I think you have to understand in today’s society, we don’t know who is carrying weapons out there,” Alexander said. – News Channel 5

Alexander goes on to say that he feels Ohio’s training requirements are too easy and people should be required to undergo more state sponsored training before being able to defend themselves outside of their homes.

Ohio is currently seeing a 40% increase in permits issued in 2012.
