It’s not often that you hear about a country other than the US changing laws to relax firearm ownership, but gun owners in Canada are celebrating the end of the long gun registry today. The bill passed Canada’s house last night and now will move to the Senate, where the Conservative Party of Canada holds a very strong majority (58-41) and the bill will assuredly pass without issue.

The bill, when passed, will likely be challenged in court by the Quebec government, who is vehemently anti-gun.
