BREAKING: Obama Tells Mayors He Will Take More Executive Action on Gun Control
Why let a pesky little thing like Congress or the will of the American people get in your way to achieve your political goals?
Speaking to a group of select mayors and Attorney General Eric “2 Fast 2 Furious” Holder at the White House, President Obama told them he plans on taking additional actions in the arena of gun control.
According to the Washington Times,
Mr. Obama “vowed to continue doing everything in his power to combat gun violence through executive action and to press Congress to pass common-sense reforms like expanding the background check system and cracking down on gun trafficking,” the White House said in a statement.
Newark’s Cory Booker, considered a favorite in the special election for New Jersey’s vacant senate seat was among those in attendance.
