BREAKING: Anti-Gun Demonstrators Backed by Bloomberg Marching on New York Today
It looks like Moms Demand Action, Everytown for Gun Safety, and Bloomberg’s other minions are on the move this morning. This time he decided to use his home field advantage and hold an event in New York City.
According to Fox News,
Hundreds of demonstrators are planning to march across the Brooklyn Bridge to call for tougher gun control laws.
Saturday’s demonstration comes after a wave of mass shootings across the U.S.
It is being underwritten by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, one of the nation’s most visible gun control advocates.
It should be noted that none of the recent shootings that have made national news are technically classified as mass shootings (that is a shooting with 4 or more victims killed by firearms). The Isla Vista incident would be classified as a mass murder, but three of the victims were stabbed to death.
Today’s group will hold a demonstration outside of City Hall to call for tougher federal gun control laws (which makes absolutely zero sense).
It’s unclear exactly what gun laws the group wants to see changed or what their exact agenda is.
It will also be interesting to see how many people actually show up to the march. Recent protests by Bloomberg backed groups have ended up with lower turnout than expected. A recent Moms Demand Action protest outside of a Target department store barely drew a dozen protestors.
