We’re going to keep bringing you data to help debunk the 90% support numbers Democrats keep bringing up to show they have widespread support for their gun control measures.

Today we have a new poll from the Washington Post/Pew Research Center which has found that 47% of Americans, less than a majority are angry or disappointed that gun control measures in the Senate failed last week.

Almost 40% of respondents said they were HAPPY or RELIEVED that gun control failed in the Senate last week.

We’re certainly not mathematicians or anything, but it would seem that if 40% of Americans are happy all of the gun control measures failed then how did 90% of Americans support them before the vote. Simple. They didn’t.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We are a Constitutional Republic and we are setup that way in order to protect us from mob rule. We don’t make laws that affect Constitutional rights based on poll numbers or popular opinion.
