Katee Sackhoff, best known for her role on Battlestar Galactica took some serious heat on Twitter yesterday for making a moderate comment about guns.
After learning about the four year old boy who accidentally shot and killed his father Sackhoff tweeted, “Please practice gun safety. This is horrible!”
One of her followers responded with “Here’s a radical idea folks. How about NO gun?”
Sackhoff intelligently responded with, “Never gonna happen in the US. Proper gun safety is a necessity though.”
…and then she lost half of her 200k Twitter followers in a matter of hours.
Sackhoff summed up the ordeal with the following Tweet “Well I guess I just learned talking about #GunSafety inspires a massive debate. Pro-Gun or Anti-Gun SAFETY should be unanimous!”
Really? I would almost get upset because that statement doesn’t protect the Second Amendment enough, but there are really 100k people who think advocating gun safety over gun control is a radical idea?
