A retired police officer in Maryland had to use deadly force to defend himself and his home from two violent home invaders on Easter Sunday. Two suspects armed with baseball bats started banging on the door of the homeowner. A Maryland resident heard loud banging on their apartment door Thursday night. The resident armed themselves with a handgun and went to investigate. When they cracked the door to see what was going on, a man forced his way into the home. The homeowner shot the intruder once in the torso. The intruder fled and took refuge in another apartment until police arrived. The suspect is being treated at an area... Read More »

A Maryland homeowner, who is a Sheriff's Deputy, off duty at the time, came home to find his front door damaged. When he went inside he encountered a burglar in his home. The homeowner drew a firearm and shot the burglar, who died from his wounded. Police are still investigating and believe there may have also been another suspect who fled the scene.

A man tried to break into a coin shop in Maryland at around 6:30am, but an employee of the store was there. An altercation ensued which resulted in the employee shooting the would be burglar. The suspect ran from the store and collapsed nearby. The suspect was declared dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the employee.

A man armed with a gun approached the counter of a Baltimore store and demanded money. The clerk, who was also armed, drew his weapon and shot the suspect, who then managed to escape. Police later caught the suspect at the hospital where he had gone seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. The suspect has been arrested and is facing charges.
