The woman was in the restroom when six men tried to rob her husband. When she emerged from the restroom she drew her own firearm and opened fire.

A brief shootout ensued which resulted in the suspects fleeing the scene.

They were able to escape with some stolen jewelry.

There was damage to some vehicles in the parking lot, but no one was hurt in the incident.

The victim’s brother wasn’t surprised by the woman’s actions. According to Click2Houston,

“She said she came out of the restroom and saw my brother on the floor. That’s when she started doing what she gotta do. She got a license and she’ll do anything to protect her kids and my brother,” he said.

“Self-defense saved my brother’s life,” he said.

According to the brother, the robbery may have been targeted as his brother is the owner of a record label.
