WA Homeowner Shoots 1 of 2 Home Invaders Armed With Hatchets

A WA heard noises on the first floor of his home. He called down to see if anyone would answer. Someone called back up that it was the police. However when the homeowner went to investigate, one of the two men in his home threw a hatchet at him. Fortunately he missed. The homeowner, who had armed himself with a shotgun, fired a shot at the men, striking one of the in the shoulder. Both men then fled. The wounded intruder sought treatment at a nearby hospital and was arrested by police. The other intruder remains at large. This is the second defensive shooting in Tacoma, WA in 9 days (WA Homeowner Shoots Burglar in the Face).
