A homeowner in Montgomery County, TX was forced to defend himself and his family last Friday night.

Following some sort of disturbance, the suspect drove his truck into the yard of the homeowner.

The suspect exited the vehicle carrying an axe and went to confront the homeowner.

The homeowner, fearing for his own safety as well as the safety of his wife and several children, all aged under 10 years old, got a gun and opened fire on the suspect.

The suspect was hit at least once in the chest. First responders transported the man to an area hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to KHOU, the incident happened in the 16200 block of Suzanne around 11:30 p.m.

No charges have been filed or are expected against the homeowner.

This is the 125th defensive gun use from the state of Texas that we’ve documented.
