This interview is awesome. These two women absolutely refused to be victims. When a St Paul, MN mother came inside from washing her car she found a man inside the home stealing items. She confronted the man who then violently attacked the mother. The mother called out for help from her adult daughter who was sleeping in a bedroom to get her gun.
The daughter retrieved a pink Taurus handgun and used it to hold the suspect on the ground until police arrived. Another great example of guns being used for self defense without a shot ever being fired.

These women are nicer than I would have been. Last thing I ever want to do is harm another human, however, if I found a POS in MY home attacking MY mother, he would be leaving in a body bag.
I agree 100%. Here in FL, that guy would be d-e-a-d thanks to our castle laws. That way the threat is averted (because you never know if HE is packing heat, knives, whatever!) and the side benefit is that he’s taken out of the judicial system completely, saving tax payers thousands.
I feel like by NOT shooting this guy, she put her mom and herself at great risk because even if you do fire a few rounds, it takes time for someone to die — unless you cap ‘em right between the eyes, incapacitating their nervous system. Otherwise you have to wait for their blood pressure to drop to zero… in those seconds, they can lunge at you and fire a shot or stab you dead.
