Stock - gun in handAccording to a report by WRCBTV, things got a bit scary at a Chattanooga, TN jewelry store on Monday.

Just minutes before the store was set to close, two individuals entered the store. However, these guys weren’t in the market for presents for their wives… well… maybe they were, but they were also there to rob the place.

One of the men was wielding a rifle and wearing a Scream mask, while the other was carrying a blunt weapon, possible a crow bar, wrapped in a pillow case.

A member of the family who owns the store, refusing to be a victim, grabbed a 9mm handgun that was in the store and opened fire on the pair.

He fired at least 6 shots, but it is not believed either suspect was hit.

The suspects immediately fled the store, however one of the suspects was captured by police hiding in a nearby yard.

Police were also able to find the rifle they believe was used in the robbery.

It is unclear how many rounds, if any the suspects fired during the gunfight.

The shop worker was treated for minor injuries, most likely caused by shrapnel, and released.
