A homeowner in St Louis, MO heard someone in his backyard around 1am and went to investigate.

The homeowner confronted two young men who were apparently trying to break into the home.

An altercation ensued and the homeowner, who was armed, shot one of the would be burglars, killin him.

The other would be burglar is now being charged for 2nd degree murder for the death of his accomplice, per MO law. He is also charged with attempted burglary.
