A 66 year old in Washington refused to be a victim after having his property burglarized multiple times.
The homeowner called 911 around 4am to report a burglary. Shortly thereafter, the homeowner called 911 again to report he had shot 2 suspected burglars on his property.
When police arrived they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene while the female was airlifted to an area hospital in serious condition.
While neither suspect was armed, police say that it is possible to feel threatened on your own property even if the assailants are unarmed.
We agree, especially when an elderly homeowner is facing two younger assailants.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
Neighbors, who have also been burglarized in recent times, overwhelmingly agree with the homeowner’s actions.
