A Houston, TX area 18 year old was home when two men began banging on the door.

The teen didn’t answer the door and that’s when the men went around the back of the house and forced entry into the home.

Fortunately, the teen was able to arm himself as the men came into the house.

The teen opened fire on the suspects. One of the suspects was hit and died at the scene.

The other suspect fled the scene when the shooting started.

The teen’s father, who owned the gun used in the shooting, is a Houston Police Department officer.

According to ABC,

Deputies believe the second suspect took off in a dark blue Nissan Sentra. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
