Terry Robbins responded to his neighbor’s burglar alarm going off around 5:30am this weekend.

When Robbins arrived at the home, which is owned by his aunt and uncle, he encountered two suspects breaking into the home, Jimmy Walker and Justin Blair.

Robbins ordered the men on the ground at gunpoint to wait on police, however, police response took over an hour and during the wait Walker attacked him and forced Robbins to shoot him once in the stomach.

Blair was held at gunpoint until police arrived.

After being placed in a patrol car, Blair kicked out the back window and attempted to escape.

Both Walker and Blair were treated for their injuries at an area hospital.

It is not thought Robbins, who is actually distantly related to Walker, will face charges.

This is the 11th defensive gun use we’ve documented in West Virginia and the 1,034th defensive gun use we’ve documented overall.
