Don’t bring a hammer to a gun fight?

That’s the lesson that two would be robbers learned the hard way after attempting to rob a Gwinnett County, GA jewelry store.

According to My Fox Atlanta, two men entered the Armen and Joseph jewelry store and attempted to use hammers to break the showcase in an attempt to steal jewelry.

The owner, who happened to be armed, drew his handgun and the thieves fled immediately. They were last seen going towards a Kroger grocery store.

According to reports, the men managed to grab one watch, but it was dropped during their escape.

The men tried to conceal their faces, but did a pretty poor job of it.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the two men shown in the photos below, taken from the store’s security cameras.

This is the 59th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of Georgia and the 1,053rd defensive gun use we’ve documented overall. This is also an example of the most common type of defensive gun use in which no shots were fired and no one was hurt.
