A VA restaurant owner and his wife were attacked by an armed robber in their garage. The homeowner was struck once in the collarbone, grabbed a gun from his vehicle and returned fire. The attacker then fled. The homeowner was treated for his injuries and is expected to be fine.

Quote from the couple’s son:

“The one thing that I have learned from this incident is that Pop having that gun possibly saved the life of him and my mother,” Nugent said Monday. “If he wouldn’t have had that gun nearby, there’s no telling what would have happened after that.”
