TX Homeowner Shoots At, Scares Off Car Burglar

A TX homeowner heard noises outside of his at around 1am.
When the homeowner went to investigate he says he found a man trying to break into his vehicle.
The homeowner fired one shot at the suspect who then fled the scene.
Police arrested a man nearby matching the description of the suspect.
Neither the homeowner or suspect were injured.
In Texas, it is legal to use lethal force to defend your property, which includes your vehicle.

Frankly, shooting someone in defense of your property should be legal EVERYWHERE! Thugs would maybe think about stealing things if they knew they could be shot for theft.

Did you know that a person driving a motor vehicle can carry as a ‘traveler’ without a need for a CHL, but not a person on a bicycle (legally defined as a ‘vehicle’ in TX and supposedly endowed with all rights and responsibilities of a vehicle as far as they can be applied to a bicycle– some things cannot be applied to a bike in the same way as a motor vehicle)? This is just ridiculous. Which one would you consider to be more vulnerable to an attack?
