The owner a game room in Beaumont, TX acted quickly when three armed thugs came into his business and tried to rob it.
Three armed suspects entered the business at the 3600 block of East Lucas Drive. around 9 p.m. last month.
During the robbery, the owner was able to grab a firearm kept in the store.
He opened fire on the suspects, striking one. That suspect died at the scene.
The other two suspects fled once the shooting started and are still being sought by police, who are reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
The deceased suspect is said to be Duayne Deandre-Devon Smith, 25, of Port Arthur, TX.
No one else was injured during the attempted robbery according to The Beaumont Enterprise.
It is unclear if the suspects shot back.
