An Ohio homeowner called police to report a break in at his Columbus apartment at around 7:30 PM.

Police got a second report of gun shots in the area as they were on their way to the scene.

When they arrived, they found an alleged burglar dead inside one of the apartments.

Police found evidence of breaking and entering in both the occupied apartment where the suspect died, and a vacant apartment next door.

Police are looking for two other individuals in a silver Cadillac who may have more information.

The homeowner has not been charged in any crime and was not hurt.
