An off duty security guard in CA was approached by a man who implied that he had a gun as the guard sat in his car.

The suspect demanded money and pretended to have a gun in his hands.

The security guard, fearing for his life, drew his sidearm and show the suspect once in the abdomen.

The suspect is expected to survive.

The security guard was not hurt and was licensed to carry a handgun.
