A MO man is being considered a hero by people in his community after he caught three people who were breaking into cars in his neighborhood.
The homeowner held the suspected thieves at gunpoint until police arrived, but police were forced to release the men due to lack of evidence.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
Police say since the homeowner was on his property he didn’t break any laws, however they recommend that citizens not intervene if they see criminal activity.

The same thing happened to me here in Idaho Falls. I caught them going through cars stealing change. I held them and the police just let them go and said we now know who they are and they won’t come back. About a week later they were at it again a couple streets over.???
