A Ferndale homeowner shot at a man who was trying to break into his home Friday, and now the suspect’s in custody, according to the Ferndale Police Department.
During the Friday incident, the homeowner responded to a would-be burglar who was trying to break in through a bedroom window at his house on Edgewood Place.
The homeowner fired two shots from a handgun at the man — who has been identified as 32-year-old Jeffrey Paul Reiher — who managed to escape and flee in a silver pick-up truck, police said.
