A grocery store clerk was alone in his store except for one other worker in the back of the store when a man came into the store, demanded money and attempted to jump behind the counter to attack the clerk.

Fortunately the clerk was carrying a gun.

The clerk drew his weapon, fired three times and hit the suspect in the abdomen once.

The suspect was arrested and charged with attempted robbery.
