GA Homeowner Uses Derringer to Disarm Shotgun Wielding Burglar, Then Shoots Burglar With Own Shotgun

A homeowner in GA came home to find a man in his home armed with a shotgun.
The homeowner drew a derringer style pistol he had in his pocket and told the suspect to drop the gun.
The suspect complied and the homeowner picked up the shotgun and attempted to hold the would be burglar at gunpoint until police arrived, but the suspect charged him, so the homeowner shot him once in the chest with the shotgun.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
“I hit him,” said the homeowner. “I knew I did. I meant to.”

Good for him! This is exactly why i carry everywhere i go, you just cannot trust people at all and life is too fragile to leave it up to a criminal to take!
way to go more people need to take care of their own protection
because police can do nothing till a crime has been comited and then it might be to late
If it would have been me the last thing he would have needed was a hospital.
THATS NOT FAIR ! poor burglar …..
Strange that he would comply with an order to drop the shotgun when the home owner had a small derringer BUT, then charge the homeowner when he was holding a shotgun that the suspect knew was loaded. STRANGE !! Must be more to this story.
