A would be street robber chose the wrong victim in Columbia, SC earlier this week. The good guy with a gun shot the suspect, who later died of his injuries.
According to local media reports:
According to Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Lt. Curtis Wilson, the victim was being robbed on the intersection of Townsend and Hutchinson Streets in Columbia, when he reached for his gun to defend himself and shot the man.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said shortly after midnight Monday morning, Shyheem Gallishaw, 18, of Hopkins died at the scene from complications of a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The case has already been ruled self defense.
