According to WOAI.com ,Teresa Barron, of San Antonio, TX, had just dropped her child off at school. Outside of the school, the child’s father, Roberto Barron, showed up and got into an argument with Barron.

The argument escalated and Roberto stabbed Teresa several times in the neck and torso. Luckily for Teresa, a nearby bystander happened to be a concealed carry permit holder. The bystander drew his weapon, told Roberto to drop the knife, and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Teresa was transported to an area hospital where she is being treated for multiple stab wounds.

Roberto is being held on a $150,000 bond.

The identity of the armed bystander is currently unknown.

This is an example of a defensive gun use saving a life, but it probably won’t be taken into account in most self defense/gun studies because no shots were fired.
