The life a career criminal was ended late last night.

According to local media reports, 29-year-old Leo Antoine Alston was shot and killed while attempting to rob a convenience store in Oxford, NC.

According to police, Alston has a long criminal history with past charges numbering in the dozens.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the person who shot Alston or said if he was an employee of the store.

The type of firearm used and the number of shots fired is also unknown at this time.
